Quality control is now a first-class feature in GuideLab. Today’s release adds configurable QC checkpoints that integrate directly into your production workflow.
Quality control features:
- Customizable Checkpoints: Define QC stages for each case type and material
- Inspection Checklists: Create standard checklists with pass/fail criteria
- Photo Documentation: Capture inspection photos attached to case records
- Sign-Off Requirements: Require QC approval before cases advance or ship
- Issue Tracking: Log quality problems with categorization and notes
How checkpoints work:
When a case reaches a QC stage, the assigned reviewer sees the inspection checklist and required criteria. They document their findings, add photos if needed, and either approve the case to continue or flag it for rework.
Quality analytics:
Track quality metrics over time:
- Rejection rates by case type, technician, and clinic
- Most common defect categories
- Time spent in QC stages
- Trend analysis to spot systematic issues
Why this matters:
Catching quality problems early costs far less than catching them at shipping—or worse, after delivery. Labs with systematic QC processes report 60% fewer remakes and stronger clinic relationships.
QC checkpoints are available now. Configure your first checkpoint in Settings → Workflow.
